Okay, now we’re going to look at some of
the hip stuff. A lot of the stuff we do
on the front of the hip is really the
TFL. Uh, when gowning, we just want to
protect any folds, any crevices we want
to protect. So, we’ll do something like
this here. And then go ahead and push
that between your legs there. There we
go. That’s perfect. We’re going to bring
this up over here. Maybe come over this
way. And we can see we can expose a good
part of the hip with keeping the person
completely protected. Now, the TFL is a
little tough because right now it’s
tense. So, we’re violating one of our
rules about keeping it relaxed. So,
we’ll bend this leg up, let her support
that, and see how that works. And that
actually helps out quite a bit. We could
also have her roll to her side. So,
we’re going to roll to her side there.
Again, we’re going to keep this
protected back here. So, if we need to
get a secondary if we need to get a
secondary
gown, we can do that as well. So, we
would go ahead and do this again. So, we
can protect any crevices. And then
again, we can expose the entire hip
there with keeping her completely
protected. Okay. If during treatment you
see one of these gowns starting to slide
down, the patient feels it sliding down
as well. So, we want to always be paying
attention to what we’re doing with that
and keeping that protected. This is
pretty straightforward. Just like the
rest of the treatment, we’re just going
to find the TFL in here. Go up in this
area. Again, we may have to move this up
as we kind of go along. So, just be
aware of the hips are some of the more
difficult to treat because of the crease
there and tension there. So, we’ll do
hands-on training as far as that goes.
So, I want you to be aware of like where
the TFL is at. It is, if you can look
right here on me, it’s going to be this
front quadrant of the hip right there.
